Our teaching and learning works towards all ākonga being successful across our graduate profile during their time with us - Voice, Action, Identity.
We use the Better Start Literacy Approach to support our reading and writing and Numicon to support our mathematics. We use an inquiry approach to weave the other learning areas of the curriculum together.
Every week we practice and perform Kapa Haka. We share our performances at mihi whakatau, whānau events and school hui.

Maraeroa School is a Mitey school. We use the Mitey programme to learn about maintaining mental health for ourselves and each other.
Identity is one of our three pillars and part of that is inclusion of everyone’s cultures. We use the language weeks to celebrate and learn about our cultures and communities.
